Frodo Baggins (portrayed by Elijah Wood) is a fictional character and the primary protagonist of The Lord of the Rings film series. Frodo was an ordinary hobbit until he inherited the One Ring from his uncle Bilbo. Now with a company of eight at his side, Frodo takes the One Ring to Mordor with his best friend Samwise Gamgee andn (Former) ally, Gollum.
Wood reprised his role in An Unexpected Journey, the first part of The Hobbit trilogy.

Frodo is seen in the prologue of the film. At first, he sees that Bilbo is sitting at his desk writing his adventures in the Red Book. He goes to see what his uncle is writing, but Bilbo tells him to not look because it is not ready yet. Frodo later tells Bilbo that many find him quite odd and unsociable. Mr. Baggins denies it, and gives a suspicious Frodo a task in putting a sign on the door. He goes to wait for Gandalf in West Farthing Woods.
Frodo's best friend and gardner. They have known each other since they were young children. He clearly knows Sam's crush on Rose Cotton. Sam also is the last remaining companion to stay with Frodo the entire time. Frodo and Sam maintain a close friendship like brothers, even though they aren't blood related
